They will be asked: "How long did you live on the earth in terms of years?"

'Abdullāh Ibn 'Abbās / Muḥammad al-Fīrūzabādī
تفسير : (he will say) allah will say to them: (how long tarried you) how long have you remained (in the earth) in your graves, (counting by years) how many days and months?
Jalāl al-Dīn al-Maḥallī
تفسير : he, exalted be he, will say, to them by the tongue of a keeper [of hell] (a variant reading [for qāla, ‘he will say’] has qul, ‘say’): ‘how long did you tarry in the earth, in this world and in your graves, in years?’ (‘adada sinīna is a specification).
