Tafseer

'Abdullāh Ibn 'Abbās / Muḥammad al-Fīrūzabādī

تفسير : (in plain arabic speech) he says: the qur'an is in the arabic usage; it is also said that this means: inform them, o muhammad, using their own language.

Jalāl al-Dīn al-Maḥallī

تفسير : in a clear arabic tongue (a variant reading [for nazala, ‘he brought down’, verse 193] has nuzzila, ‘was sent down’, and al-rūha, ‘the spirit’, in the accusative, the subject of the verb being god).
