Tafseer

'Abdullāh Ibn 'Abbās / Muḥammad al-Fīrūzabādī

تفسير : (and how they say) in their poetry (that which they do not?) they keep mentioning “i” and “i” when things are not as they say; it is also said that this means: they say things which they cannot do; and hence both poet and narrator are in error.

Jalāl al-Dīn al-Maḥallī

تفسير : and that they say, we do, what they do not do?, in other words, that they lie.
