The day the Resurrection comes the sinners will be overwhelmed with despair.

Tafseer
'Abdullāh Ibn 'Abbās / Muḥammad al-Fīrūzabādī
تفسير : (and in the day when the hour) which is the day of judgement (riseth the criminals will despair) the idolaters will despair of any good.
Jalāl al-Dīn al-Maḥallī
تفسير : and on the day when the hour comes, the sinners will be dumbfounded, the idolaters will be fall into silence, as their [line of] argument can no longer be continued.
