'Abdullāh Ibn 'Abbās / Muḥammad al-Fīrūzabādī
تفسير : (and they say: what aileth us that we behold not) in the fire (men) meaning the poor among the believers (whom we were wont to count among the wicked) whom we counted among the lowly and paupers?
Jalāl al-Dīn al-Maḥallī
تفسير : and they, the disbelievers of mecca, say, while they are in the fire: ‘what is the matter with us that we do not see [here] men whom we used to count, in the world, among the wicked?
