Tafseer

'Abdullāh Ibn 'Abbās / Muḥammad al-Fīrūzabādī

تفسير : (say: o allah) lead us to that which is good! (creator of the heavens and the earth) o creator of the heavens and the earth! (knower of the invisible and the visible) o knower of the invisible, i.e. what is hidden from the servants, and the visible, i.e. that which the servants know! (thou wilt judge between thy slaves) on the day of judgement (concerning that wherein they used to differ) concerning that which they used to contravene.

Jalāl al-Dīn al-Maḥallī

(allāhumma means yā allāh) originator of the heavens and the earth!, the creator of them without precedent, knower of the unseen and the visible, [knower of] what is hidden and what is witnessed, you will judge between your servants concerning that wherein they used to differ’, in the matter of religion: guide me to the truth over which they are at variance.
