تَبْصِرَۃً وَّذِكْرٰى لِكُلِّ عَبْدٍ مُّنِيْبٍ۝۸
Tabsiratan wathikra likulli AAabdin muneebin

Tafseer

'Abdullāh Ibn 'Abbās / Muḥammad al-Fīrūzabādī

تفسير : (a vision) so that you may see (and a reminder) a lesson so that you may learn from it; it is also said “a vision” means an admonition and “reminder” means reflection (for every penitent slave) who turns to allah and his obedience.

Jalāl al-Dīn al-Maḥallī

تفسير : as an insight (tabsiratan is a direct object denoting reason, that is to say, we did this to give an insight from us) and a reminder for every penitent servant, who returns to obedience of us.

Sahl al-Tustari

تفسير : as an insight and a reminder for every penitent servant.he said:this means: ⸢as a lesson and source of evidence, guiding them to believe in the oneness of their lord and to show gratitude to him;⸣ penitent (munīb), that is, one who devotes his heart purely to god by turning his attention [wholly] to him, and by maintaining god’s remembrance (dhikr) in the practice of his obligatory duties (wājibāt).his words, exalted is he:
