'Abdullāh Ibn 'Abbās / Muḥammad al-Fīrūzabādī

تفسير : and from his narration on the authority of ibn 'abbas that he said in the interpretation of allah's saying (by those that winnow with a winnowing): '(by those that winnow with a winnowing) he says: allah swears by the blowing winds and that which they carry into the homes of people,

Jalāl al-Dīn al-Maḥallī

تفسير : by the scatterers, the winds that scatter dust and other things, that scatter (dharwan is a verbal noun; one may also say, tadhrīhi dharyan, ‘it blows it [sweeping it] away’);
