Or have you become so unafraid that He who is in Heaven will not send a violent wind to shower stones at you? Then you will know the import of My commination!

Tafseer
'Abdullāh Ibn 'Abbās / Muḥammad al-Fīrūzabādī
تفسير : (or have ye taken security from him who is in the heaven) or have you taken security from the chastisement of he who is in heaven, established on the throne, by your transgression (that he will not let loose on you a hurricane) that he will not send down on you stones just as he did with the folk of lot? (but ye shall know the manner of my warning) you shall know how i turn against you with chastisement.
Jalāl al-Dīn al-Maḥallī
تفسير : are you secure [in thinking] that he who is in the heaven will not unleash (an yursila substitutes for man, ‘he who’) upon you a squall of pebbles?, a wind hurling pebbles at you. but you will [soon] come to know, upon seeing the chastisement with your own eyes, the nature of my warning, my warning of chastisement, in other words, [you will soon see] that it was true.
