٦٩ - ٱلْحَاقَّة

69 - Al-Haqqa

فَاَمَّا مَنْ اُوْتِيَ كِتٰبَہٗ بِيَمِيْنِہٖ۝۰ۙ فَيَقُوْلُ ہَاۗؤُمُ اقْرَءُوْا كِتٰبِيَہْ۝۱۹ۚ
Faamma man ootiya kitabahu biyameenihi fayaqoolu haomu iqraoo kitabiyah

He who is given his ledger in his right hand, will say: "Here, read my ledger.

Tafseer

'Abdullāh Ibn 'Abbās / Muḥammad al-Fīrūzabādī

تفسير : (then, as for him who is given his record in his right hand) this refers to abu salamah ibn 'abd al-asad, the husband of umm salamah who was a muslim, (he will say) to his companions: (take, read my book!) come and see what is in my book of reward and bestowal of honour.

Jalāl al-Dīn al-Maḥallī

تفسير : as for him who is given his book in his right hand, he will say, addressing those around him, on account of the joy that has come to him: ‘here, take [and], read my book! (kitābiyah: both hā’ūmu, ‘here [is]’, and iqra’ū, ‘read’, compete for [government of] this [direct object]).

Sahl al-Tustari

تفسير : as for him who is given his book in his right hand, he will say, ‘here, read my book! that is, he says, ‘look here! read my book, which is full of different kinds of acts of obedience.’ and he says to them:
