٦٩ - ٱلْحَاقَّة

69 - Al-Haqqa

يَوْمَىِٕذٍ تُعْرَضُوْنَ لَا تَخْفٰى مِنْكُمْ خَافِيَۃٌ۝۱۸
Yawmaithin tuAAradoona la takhfa minkum khafiyatun

You will then be set before Him, and not one of you will remain unexposed.

Tafseer

'Abdullāh Ibn 'Abbās / Muḥammad al-Fīrūzabādī

تفسير : (on that day) which is the day of judgement (ye will be exposed) you will stand before your lord three times: once for reckoning and presenting excuses, once for settling disputes and retaliation and once for the handing over of the scroll of one's deeds and reading them; (not a secret of you will be hidden) none of you will be left out; it is also said this means: no one's secret will be hidden from allah; it is also said that this means: none of your works will be hidden from allah.

Jalāl al-Dīn al-Maḥallī

تفسير : on that day you will be exposed, before the reckoning. no hidden thing of yours, in the way of secrets, will remain hidden (read [feminine person] takhfā or [masculine person] yakhfā).

Sahl al-Tustari

تفسير : on that day, you will be exposed and no hidden thing of yours will remain hidden.he said:you will be presented before god, mighty and majestic is he, and he will call you to account for your deeds, and not one of your deeds will be hidden from him. that is all known [to him], calculated for you in his prior knowledge. and he will ask [the servant] about all of it, saying to him, ‘did you not know about the hours [of the events of the last day] for my sake? were you not placed in a position of [high standing] in assemblies [among people] for my sake? did you not ask me to marry you to such and such a bondswoman of mine who was better than you and we married you to her? this is his questioning concerning the blessings he has bestowed upon you. so, how about his interrogation concerning the acts of transgression against him?the saying has been related from ʿutba al-ghulām, ‘truly, the believing servant will be kept standing before god, exalted is he, a hundred years for one sin.’his words, exalted is he:
