'Abdullāh Ibn 'Abbās / Muḥammad al-Fīrūzabādī
تفسير : (thou wilt know) those faces will know (that some great disaster is about to fall on them) a severe and horrible punishment is about to befall them.
Jalāl al-Dīn al-Maḥallī
تفسير : certain that a spine-crushing calamity will fall on them, a great catastrophe, one that ‘crushes the spine’ (fiqār).
