'Abdullāh Ibn 'Abbās / Muḥammad al-Fīrūzabādī
تفسير : (and he made dark the night thereof, and he brought forth the morn thereof) and he made its day and sun clear.
Jalāl al-Dīn al-Maḥallī
تفسير : and darkened its night, and brought forth its day: he exposed the light of its sun (‘night’ has been annexed to it [the heaven] because it represents its shade, and likewise the ‘sun’, because it represents its light);
