تفسير : (lo! thy lord) o muhammad (is ever watchful) he says: they, as well as all created beings, will have to go through him; it is also said that this means: the angels of your lord will be on the bridge over hell stopping people at seven different stopping positions at which they will ask them about seven traits.
Jalāl al-Dīn al-Maḥallī
تفسير : assuredly your lord is ever on the watch, watching over the deeds of servants, nothing of which escapes him, that he may then requite them for these [deeds].
Sahl al-Tustari
تفسير : assuredly your lord is ever watchful.this means: the path of every person leads to him. he will then reward them for their deeds and they will either be saved or otherwise. and he [elsewhere] says that he will position a patrol (raṣad) of angels with ⸢hooks (kalālīb) and⸣ pikes (ḥasak) on the traverse over hell (jisr jahannam), who will question people concerning the religious obligations (farāʾiḍ).
