'Abdullāh Ibn 'Abbās / Muḥammad al-Fīrūzabādī
تفسير : except as seeking (to fulfil) the purpose of his lord most high) except seeking the good pleasure of his lord the most high, who is higher than everything.
Jalāl al-Dīn al-Maḥallī
تفسير : but, he did this, only seeking the pleasure of his lord the most high, that is to say, only seeking [to secure] god’s reward;
