Rostov-na-Donu is a port city situated in Rostov Oblast (Rostov Region) in Southern Russia. It is situated in the Southeastern Europe, at the mouth of the Don River. It is also the administrative headquarters of the Rostov Oblast. Rostov on Don is the English name of Rostov-na-Donu. The Mosque consists of two floors and a 27-meter-high minaret. The Mosque can accommodate 1500 worshipers at a time. Special religious classes are arranged here on the weekends to teach the Arabic language, Quran, and Islamic history. The Cathedral Mosque of Rostov-na-Donu is managed by the "Central Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Rostov Region."

The Mosque of the Kzyl-Aul is situated in the Oblivsky District. Kzyl-aul is approximately 4 hour's drive from Rostov-na-Donu. The history of Muslims in this part of the Rostov Oblast dates back to the 1930s. During the era of the Soviet Union, there was no possibility of any Islamic worship house. However, the Mosque of Kzyl-Aul Farm was finally established in 2003. Since then, this Mosque has been providing religious services to the entire region.
