Verse. 1105

٧ - ٱلْأَعْرَاف

7 - Al-A'raf

قَالَ رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِيْ وَلِاَخِيْ وَاَدْخِلْنَا فِيْ رَحْمَتِكَ ۝۰ۡۖ وَاَنْتَ اَرْحَـمُ الرّٰحِمِيْنَ۝۱۵۱ۧ
Qala rabbi ighfir lee waliakhee waadkhilna fee rahmatika waanta arhamu alrrahimeena

Ahmed Ali

(Moses) said: "O Lord, forgive me and my brother, and admit us to Your grace, for You are the most compassionate of all."

Tafseer

'Abdullāh Ibn 'Abbās / Muḥammad al-Fīrūzabādī

تفسير : (he) moses (said: my lord! have mercy on me) because of what i did to aaron (and on my brother) aaron because he did not fight them; (bring us into thy mercy) in your garden, (thou the most merciful of all who show mercy) towards us.

Jalāl al-Dīn al-Maḥallī

تفسير : he said, ‘my lord, forgive me, what i have done to my brother, and my brother, he includes him in the supplication in order to reconcile him and to fend off any gloating over his misfortune, and admit us into your mercy, for you are the most merciful of the merciful’.
