كَالَّذِيْنَ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ كَانُوْۗا اَشَدَّ مِنْكُمْ قُوَّۃً وَّاَكْثَرَ اَمْوَالًا وَّاَوْلَادًا۰ۭ فَاسْتَمْتَعُوْا بِخَلَاقِہِمْ فَاسْتَمْتَعْتُمْ بِخَلَاقِكُمْ كَـمَا اسْتَمْتَعَ الَّذِيْنَ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ بِخَلَاقِہِمْ وَخُضْتُمْ كَالَّذِيْ خَاضُوْا۰ۭ اُولٰۗىِٕكَ حَبِطَتْ اَعْمَالُہُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْاٰخِرَۃِ۰ۚ وَاُولٰۗىِٕكَ ہُمُ الْخٰسِرُوْنَ۶۹
Kaallatheena min qablikum kanoo ashadda minkum quwwatan waakthara amwalan waawladan faistamtaAAoo bikhalaqihim faistamtaAAtum bikhalaqikum kama istamtaAAa allatheena min qablikum bikhalaqihim wakhudtum kaallathee khadoo olaika habitat aAAmaluhum fee alddunya waalakhirati waolaika humu alkhasiroona
Like those before you who were greater in strength, had more wealth and children than you, who enjoyed their lot in this world, as you have enjoyed your share like them. You indulge in idle talk, as they had indulged in vain discourse. Yet nothing of what they did remains in this world or will in the next, and they are the losers.
