٢ - ٱلْبَقَرَة

2 - Al-Baqara

خٰلِدِيْنَ فِيْہَا۝۰ۚ لَا يُخَفَّفُ عَنْہُمُ الْعَذَابُ وَلَا ھُمْ يُنْظَرُوْنَ۝۱۶۲
Khalideena feeha la yukhaffafu AAanhumu alAAathabu wala hum yuntharoona

Under which they will live, and their suffering will neither decrease nor be respite for them.

Tafseer

'Abdullāh Ibn 'Abbās / Muḥammad al-Fīrūzabādī

تفسير : (they ever dwell therein) i.e. in this curse. (the doom will not be lightened for them) it will not be lifted or reduced, (neither will they be reprieved) their torment will not be deferred.

Jalāl al-Dīn al-Maḥallī

تفسير : abiding therein, that is, [in] the curse and the fire, [the latter] indicated by the following words: the chastisement shall not be lightened for them, [not even for] a blink of an eye, no respite shall be given them, in which to have time to repent or to excuse themselves.
