'Abdullāh Ibn 'Abbās / Muḥammad al-Fīrūzabādī
تفسير : (he said) pharaoh said to moses: (what then is the state of the generations of old?) what is the events of the people of old? how did they perish?
Jalāl al-Dīn al-Maḥallī
تفسير : he, pharaoh, said, ‘so what of, the status [of], the generations, the communities, of old?’, such as the people of noah, hūd, lot and sālih, with regard to their having worshipped graven images.
