God: there is no god but He, the living, eternal, self-subsisting, ever sustaining.

Tafseer
'Abdullāh Ibn 'Abbās / Muḥammad al-Fīrūzabādī
تفسير : (allah! there is no god save him, the alive) who dies not and is not evanescent, (the eternal) the self-subsistent who has no beginning.
Jalāl al-Dīn al-Maḥallī
تفسير : god! there is no god except him, the living, the eternal.
Sahl al-Tustari
تفسير : alif, lām, mīm. ! god! there is no god except him, the living, the eternal sustainer.he [sahl] said:it [allāh] is god’s greatest name, which is written across the sky in green light from east to west.
