Tafseer

'Abdullāh Ibn 'Abbās / Muḥammad al-Fīrūzabādī

تفسير : (therefore we seized him) i.e. pharaoh, because of what he said initially, “i am your exalted lord”, and his other claim: “i know not that you have a god other than me” (and his hosts) the coptic people, (and abandoned them unto the sea) and cast them in the sea. (behold) o muhammad (the nature of the consequence for evil-doers) how was the end of the idolaters: pharaoh and his host!

Jalāl al-Dīn al-Maḥallī

تفسير : so we seized him and his hosts, and flung them into the waters, the sea, and they drowned. so behold how was the sequel for the evildoers, when they ended up being destroyed.
