But they turned away from him, and said: "He is well-instructed, (but) possessed."

'Abdullāh Ibn 'Abbās / Muḥammad al-Fīrūzabādī
تفسير : and they had turned away from him) and they turned away from believing in him (and said: one taught (by others)) i.e. muhammad is taught by jabr and yasar, (a madman) who is bewitched?
Jalāl al-Dīn al-Maḥallī
تفسير : but they turned away from him and said, ‘he has been taught — that is, a human being is teaching him the qur’ān — [he is] a madman!’
