Tafseer
'Abdullāh Ibn 'Abbās / Muḥammad al-Fīrūzabādī
تفسير : (and verily, for those who do wrong) the idolaters: the disbelievers of mecca, (there is a punishment) in the grave (beyond that) other than the chastisement of gehenna. (but most of them) all of them (know not) this nor believe in it.
Jalāl al-Dīn al-Maḥallī
تفسير : and assuredly for those who do wrong, by their [persistence in] disbelief, there is a chastisement beyond that, in this world, before their death — thus they were punished with famine and drought for seven years, and with being killed on the day of badr; but most of them do not know, that the chastisement will befall them.
