He had warned them of Our might, but they passed over the warnings.

'Abdullāh Ibn 'Abbās / Muḥammad al-Fīrūzabādī
تفسير : (and he) lot (indeed had warned them of our blow) of our chastisement, (but they did doubt the warnings) but they rejected what lot said to them.
Jalāl al-Dīn al-Maḥallī
تفسير : and verily he had warned them, lot had threatened them, of our strike, our seizing them with chastisement, but they disputed, they contested and denied, the warnings, his warning.
