'Abdullāh Ibn 'Abbās / Muḥammad al-Fīrūzabādī
تفسير : (if we willed we verily could make it) i.e. pure water (bitter. why, then, give ye not thanks) for its purity and therefore believe?
Jalāl al-Dīn al-Maḥallī
تفسير : if we willed, we could make it bitter, salty, undrinkable — why then will you not give thanks?
