اِلَّا حَمِيْمًا وَّغَسَّاقًا۝۲۵ۙ
Illa hameeman waghassaqan

'Abdullāh Ibn 'Abbās / Muḥammad al-Fīrūzabādī

تفسير : (save boiling water and a paralysing cold) and it is also said this means: filthy water:

Jalāl al-Dīn al-Maḥallī

تفسير : except boiling water, of extreme temperatures, and pus (read ghasāqan or ghassāqan, which is the vile matter that is emitted by the [bodies of the] inhabitants of the fire), which is what they will [indeed] taste. they are given this pair [of tortures],
