٨٩ - ٱلْفَجْر

89 - Al-Fajr

وَّجَاۗءَ رَبُّكَ وَالْمَلَكُ صَفًّا صَفًّا۝۲۲ۚ
Wajaa rabbuka waalmalaku saffan saffan

'Abdullāh Ibn 'Abbās / Muḥammad al-Fīrūzabādī

تفسير : (and thy lord shall come) a coming without any modality (with angels, rank on rank) like the ranks of the people of the life of the world when praying,

Jalāl al-Dīn al-Maḥallī

تفسير : and your lord, that is to say, his command, and the angels arrive rank on rank (saffan saffan is a circumstantial qualifier, meaning ‘standing in rows’ or ‘made up of many ranks’),
