تفسير : and from his narration on the authority of ibn 'abbas that he said regarding the interpretation of allah's saying: (by the night enshrouding): '(by the night enshrouding) he says: allah swears by the night when it enshrouds the light of day.

تفسير : by the night as it enshrouds, with its darkness all that is between the heaven and the earth,
Sahl al-Tustari
تفسير : by the night as it enshrouds,he said:in its inner meaning it refers to the natural self (nafs al-ṭabʿ).
