تفسير : (and lo! unto us belong the latter portion and the former) and to us belong the reward of the life of the world and that of the hereafter; it is also said that this means: to us belong the life of the world in which we bestow knowledge and success and also the hereafter in which we bestow reward and honour.

تفسير : and truly to us belong the hereafter and the first [life], that is to say, [that of] this world, and so whoever seeks either of the two from anyone other than us has erred.
