يَوْمَ يَكُوْنُ النَّاسُ كَالْفَرَاشِ الْمَبْثُوْثِ۝۴ۙ

تفسير : allah then gave more details about it, saying: (a day wherein mankind will be) a day when people will fall on each other (as thickly scattered moths

Jalāl al-Dīn al-Maḥallī

تفسير : the day (yawma: that which renders it accusative is [the verb] indicated by al-qāri‘a, in other words, [by the implied] taqra‘u, ‘it clatters’) mankind will be like scattered moths, like a throng of scattered locusts surging into each other in confusion, until they are summoned to the reckoning,

Sahl al-Tustari

تفسير : a day [when] people will be like scattered moths.this means that they will bump into each other because of the awe (hayba) [they experience] before god, mighty and majestic is he. it has been said: the blow (qaraʿ) is threefold: the blow which strikes bodies is the arrow of death; the blow which strikes works is god’s questioning them; and the blow which strikes hearts is the fear of alienation.but god, glorified and exalted is he, knows best.his words, exalted is he:
