HAVE YOU SEEN him who denies the Day of Judgement?

'Abdullāh Ibn 'Abbās / Muḥammad al-Fīrūzabādī
تفسير : and from his narration on the authority of ibn 'abbas that he said regarding the interpretation of allah's saying (hast thou observed him who belieth religion?): '(hast thou observed him who belieth religion?) and it is said this means: have you observed him who belies the day of reckoning? this is in reference to 'as ibn wa'il al-sahmi.
Jalāl al-Dīn al-Maḥallī
تفسير : have you seen him who denies the judgement?, the requital and the reckoning, that is to say, ‘do you know who he is?’ if you do not know him then:
Ali ibn Ahmad al-Wahidi
تفسير : (hast thou observed him who belieth religion? that is he who repelleth the orphan) [107:1-2].
muqatil and al-kalbi said: “this surah was revealed about al-‘as ibn wa’il al-sahmi”.
and ibn jurayj said: “abu sufyan ibn harb was in the habit of slaughtering two camels every week. on one occasion, an orphan came to him asking him for something. abu sufyan responded by hitting him with a stick. and so allah, exalted is he, revealed (hast thou observed him who belieth religion? that is he who repelleth the orphan)”.
Sahl al-Tustari
تفسير : have you seen him who denies the judgement?he said:that is, the reckoning on the day when people will be judged.
