2. Masjid Umar

 

Masjid Umar serves the diverse and vibrant Muslim community residing in and around the Evington area and can accommodate 1,200 worshippers. Completed in late 2000, Masjid Umar was described as a religious institution with "presence, integrity, and modesty." Moreover, the mosque was shortlisted in 2005 for the ACE / RIBA Award for Religious Architecture and won the People's Choice Project of the Year Award 2003.

 

Masjid Umar offers Nikkah and Funeral services for the residents of Leicester. Moreover, Sadaqah-e-Fitr 2023 was distributed to beneficiaries in Zumba Malawi on behalf of Masjid Umar donors.
