Dnipro is a vibrant city in Ukraine, 390 kilometers from its Capital, Kyiv. Dnipro is located alongside the river Dnipro, which inspired the name of the town. It is the fourth largest city in Ukraine, with a population of around one million. It is the administrative center of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. The city of Dnipro dates back to 1524 CE. Islam was introduced to Ukraine by Muslim traders and travelers in the 10th century. Islam began to gain traction in the 15th century with the establishment of the Crimean Khanate. The domination of the Crimean ethnic group prevailed from the 13th to 16th century, during which a strong group of Crimean Tatars emerged, mainly Muslims. These tartars established a state called Little Tartary, which helped expand the influence of Islam in the region. The Dnipro Mosque was established by the Muslim Religious Community of Dnipro in 1999. The mosque is a humble building. The exterior is not decorated or embellished in any way. It appears like any other building, with white walls and a green roof from the outside. The number plate with a crescent moon and star and the mosque's name identifies it as a mosque. The interior is warm, cozy, and inviting. It is a small community mosque, and looks like it. The building is divided into a prayer area, a dining hall, and a multipurpose room. The mosque provides various services for the local Muslim Community, including five regular daily prayers, Jumma (Friday) prayers, religious education, and guidance in various religious matters. It is also a popular site for different cultural and religious events for Muslims living in Dnipro, such as marriages and Iftar during the fasting month of Ramadan.

The Islamic Cultural Center and the associated mosque is an initiative of the Congress of Muslim Ukraine, a project of the Arraid organization. The Congress of Muslim Ukraine manages nine Islamic Centers in Ukraine, including the Islamic Cultural Center of Dnipro. The center was inaugurated in 2016 and provides ample worship facilities for the local Muslims.
The building comprises two floors. The ground floor is dedicated to the mosque. The center has 2 prayer halls, one for men and one for women. The men's prayer hall can accommodate 500 men, while the women's hall can accommodate 100 women. Daily salat with jamaáh is organized in the mosque every day. Jummah (Friday prayer) and sermons is also arranged every week.
The culture center also has a library, a classroom, a conference hall, a recreation area, and a women's department. These rooms are located on the first floor of the building. A Sunday school for children, men, and women is held in the center to teach the recitation and memorization of the Quran. The mosque also provides Islamic funeral, burial, and marriage (Nikah) services.
