٧٦ - ٱلْإِنْسَان

76 - Al-Insan

اِنَّا نَحْنُ نَزَّلْنَا عَلَيْكَ الْقُرْاٰنَ تَنْزِيْلًا۝۲۳ۚ
Inna nahnu nazzalna AAalayka alqurana tanzeelan

English

Ahmed Ali

We have revealed the Qur'an to you gradually;

23

فَاصْبِرْ لِحُكْمِ رَبِّكَ وَلَا تُطِعْ مِنْہُمْ اٰثِمًا اَوْ كَفُوْرًا۝۲۴ۚ
Faisbir lihukmi rabbika wala tutiAA minhum athiman aw kafooran

Ahmed Ali

So wait for your Lord's command, and do not follow any sinner or disbeliever among them.

24

وَاذْكُرِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ بُكْرَۃً وَّاَصِيْلًا۝۲۵ۖۚ
Waothkuri isma rabbika bukratan waaseelan

Ahmed Ali

Meditate upon the name of your Lord morning and evening;

25

وَمِنَ الَّيْلِ فَاسْجُدْ لَہٗ وَسَبِّحْہُ لَيْلًا طَوِيْلًا۝۲۶
Wamina allayli faosjud lahu wasabbihhu laylan taweelan

English

Ahmed Ali

And bow in homage part of the night, and glorify Him far into the night.

26

اِنَّ ہٰۗؤُلَاۗءِ يُحِبُّوْنَ الْعَاجِلَۃَ وَيَذَرُوْنَ وَرَاۗءَہُمْ يَوْمًا ثَــقِيْلًا۝۲۷
Inna haolai yuhibboona alAAajilata wayatharoona waraahum yawman thaqeelan

Ahmed Ali

Surely men love what hastes away and forget the grievous day (ahead).

27

نَحْنُ خَلَقْنٰہُمْ وَشَدَدْنَاۗ اَسْرَہُمْ۝۰ۚ وَاِذَا شِئْنَا بَدَّلْنَاۗ اَمْثَالَہُمْ تَبْدِيْلًا۝۲۸
Nahnu khalaqnahum washadadna asrahum waitha shina baddalna amthalahum tabdeelan

English

Ahmed Ali

We created them and fixed their bones and joints; and We could replace them when We like with others like them.

28

اِنَّ ہٰذِہٖ تَذْكِرَۃٌ۝۰ۚ فَمَنْ شَاۗءَ اتَّخَذَ اِلٰى رَبِّہٖ سَبِيْلًا۝۲۹
Inna hathihi tathkiratun faman shaa ittakhatha ila rabbihi sabeelan

English

Ahmed Ali

This surely is a reminder: Therefore whosoever desires may take the way to his Lord.

29

وَمَا تَشَاۗءُوْنَ اِلَّاۗ اَنْ يَّشَاۗءَ اؙ۝۰ۭ اِنَّ اللہَ كَانَ عَلِــيْمًا حَكِــيْمًا۝۳۰ۤۖ
Wama tashaoona illa an yashaa Allahu inna Allaha kana AAaleeman hakeeman

English

Ahmed Ali

But you will not desire except as God wills. Verily He is all-knowing and all-wise.

30

يُّدْخِلُ مَنْ يَّشَاۗءُ فِيْ رَحْمَتِہٖ۝۰ۭ وَالظّٰلِمِيْنَ اَعَدَّ لَہُمْ عَذَابًا اَلِــيْمًا۝۳۱ۧ
Yudkhilu man yashao fee rahmatihi waalththalimeena aAAadda lahum AAathaban aleeman

English

Ahmed Ali

He admits whosoever He will to His benevolence. But for the evil-doers He has prepared a painful punishment.
