This mosque is named after Qasim Ali Khan, who was a known administrator of Kabul and was also a news writer. The mosque is within the bazaar and has a green and white exterior. Its blue-tiled dome and small minarets make it stand out even though it is in a crowded marketplace. It is open to the worshippers during the daily prayer times in Peshawar. Therefore, it remains an important place in Peshawar for the Muslim community.
Sunehri Mosque is one of the modern mosques in Peshawar that attracts Muslims and visitors during the daily prayer times in Peshawar and otherwise. Located near Ali Fort on Khyber Pass, Ali Mosque is said to be a mosque that's almost 700 years old. Located at an elevation of 3,174 feet at the narrowest point on Khyber Pass, Ali Mosque is named in memory of Imam Ali. The mosque is 16 km east of the city of Landi Kotal. It was previously referred to as a shrine where travelers would stop on their way to pray. However, the shrine was attacked during the Anglo-Afghan war, and therefore, the remains were reconstructed into a small mosque that people can pray in while they are traveling. Above Ali Masjid is the Ali Masjid fort that overlooks this area of Khyber Pass and is 15km from Jamrud. Ali Masjid is a small place that may not be a center point for Muslims during prayer times but rather serves as a center for traveling Muslims that has a great history to its presence.
