وَسْــــَٔـلْہُمْ عَنِ الْقَرْيَۃِ الَّتِيْ كَانَتْ حَاضِرَۃَ الْبَحْرِ۰ۘ اِذْ يَعْدُوْنَ فِي السَّبْتِ اِذْ تَاْتِيْہِمْ حِيْتَانُہُمْ يَوْمَ سَبْتِہِمْ شُرَّعًا وَّيَوْمَ لَا يَسْبِتُوْنَ۰ۙ لَا تَاْتِيْہِمْ۰ۚۛ كَذٰلِكَ۰ۚۛ نَبْلُوْہُمْ بِمَا كَانُوْا يَفْسُقُوْنَ۱۶۳
Waisalhum AAani alqaryati allatee kanat hadirata albahri ith yaAAdoona fee alssabti ith tateehim heetanuhum yawma sabtihim shurraAAan wayawma la yasbitoona la tateehim kathalika nabloohum bima kanoo yafsuqoona
Enquire of them about the town situated by the sea where, when they did not keep the Sabbath, the fish came up to the surface of the water for them; but on days other than the Sabbath the fish did not come. We tried them in this way, for they were disobedient.
