٣٠ - ٱلرُّوم

30 - Ar-Roum

ظَہَرَ الْفَسَادُ فِي الْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ اَيْدِي النَّاسِ لِيُذِيْقَہُمْ بَعْضَ الَّذِيْ عَمِلُوْا لَعَلَّہُمْ يَرْجِعُوْنَ۝۴۱
Thahara alfasadu fee albarri waalbahri bima kasabat aydee alnnasi liyutheeqahum baAAda allathee AAamiloo laAAallahum yarjiAAoona

Ahmed Ali

Corruption has spread over land and sea from what men have done themselves that they may taste a little of what they have done: They may haply come back (to the right path).

41

قُلْ سِيْرُوْا فِي الْاَرْضِ فَانْظُرُوْا كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَۃُ الَّذِيْنَ مِنْ قَبْلُ۝۰ۭ كَانَ اَكْثَرُہُمْ مُّشْرِكِيْنَ۝۴۲
Qul seeroo fee alardi faonthuroo kayfa kana AAaqibatu allatheena min qablu kana aktharuhum mushrikeena

Ahmed Ali

Say: "Travel on the earth and see how came the end of those before you." Most of them were idolaters.

42

فَاَقِـمْ وَجْہَكَ لِلدِّيْنِ الْقَيِّمِ مِنْ قَبْلِ اَنْ يَّاْتِيَ يَوْمٌ لَّا مَرَدَّ لَہٗ مِنَ اللہِ يَوْمَىِٕذٍ يَّصَّدَّعُوْنَ۝۴۳
Faaqim wajhaka lilddeeni alqayyimi min qabli an yatiya yawmun la maradda lahu mina Allahi yawmaithin yassaddaAAoona

Ahmed Ali

So set your face towards the straight path before the day arrives from God which is irreversible. Men will be segregated on that day.

43

مَنْ كَفَرَ فَعَلَيْہِ كُفْرُہٗ۝۰ۚ وَمَنْ عَمِلَ صَالِحًا فَلِاَنْفُسِہِمْ يَمْہَدُوْنَ۝۴۴ۙ
Man kafara faAAalayhi kufruhu waman AAamila salihan falianfusihim yamhadoona

Ahmed Ali

So that he who disbelieves will bear the consequence of his unbelief; and he who does the right will straighten out the way for himself,

44

لِيَجْزِيَ الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ مِنْ فَضْلِہٖ۝۰ۭ اِنَّہٗ لَا يُحِبُّ الْكٰفِرِيْنَ۝۴۵
Liyajziya allatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati min fadlihi innahu la yuhibbu alkafireena

Ahmed Ali

So that God may reward those who believed and did what was good, by His grace. Surely He does not love unbelievers.

45

وَمِنْ اٰيٰتِہٖۗ اَنْ يُّرْسِلَ الرِّيَاحَ مُبَشِّرٰتٍ وَّلِيُذِيْقَكُمْ مِّنْ رَّحْمَتِہٖ وَلِتَجْرِيَ الْفُلْكُ بِاَمْرِہٖ وَلِتَبْتَغُوْا مِنْ فَضْلِہٖ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُوْنَ۝۴۶
Wamin ayatihi an yursila alrriyaha mubashshiratin waliyutheeqakum min rahmatihi walitajriya alfulku biamrihi walitabtaghoo min fadlihi walaAAallakum tashkuroona

Ahmed Ali

Among His signs are the breezes He sends as harbingers of happy news, so that He may allow you to taste of His mercy, and that ships may sail by His command, and you may seek of His bounty, and may haply be grateful.

46

وَ لَقَدْ اَرْسَلْنَا مِنْ قَبْلِكَ رُسُلًا اِلٰى قَوْمِہِمْ فَجَــاۗءُوْہُمْ بِالْبَيِّنٰتِ فَانْتَـقَمْنَا مِنَ الَّذِيْنَ اَجْرَمُوْا۝۰ۭ وَكَانَ حَقًّا عَلَيْنَا نَصْرُ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ۝۴۷
Walaqad arsalna min qablika rusulan ila qawmihim fajaoohum bialbayyinati faintaqamna mina allatheena ajramoo wakana haqqan AAalayna nasru almumineena

Ahmed Ali

Verily We sent many apostles before you to their people, who brought clear signs with them. Then We retributed those who were sinful. It is a duty incumbent on Us to help the believers.

47

اَللہُ الَّذِيْ يُرْسِلُ الرِّيٰحَ فَتُثِيْرُ سَحَابًا فَيَبْسُطُہٗ فِي السَّمَاۗءِ كَيْفَ يَشَاۗءُ وَيَجْعَلُہٗ كِسَفًا فَتَرَى الْوَدْقَ يَخْرُجُ مِنْ خِلٰلِہٖ۝۰ۚ فَاِذَاۗ اَصَابَ بِہٖ مَنْ يَّشَاۗءُ مِنْ عِبَادِہٖۗ اِذَا ہُمْ يَسْتَبْشِرُوْنَ۝۴۸ۚ
Allahu allathee yursilu alrriyaha fatutheeru sahaban fayabsutuhu fee alssamai kayfa yashao wayajAAaluhu kisafan fatara alwadqa yakhruju min khilalihi faitha asaba bihi man yashao min AAibadihi itha hum yastabshiroona

It is God who sends the breezes that raise clouds, then spreads them over the sky as He please, fold on fold, then you see the drops of rain issue from between them. When He sends it down to those of His creatures as He will, they are filled with joy,

48

وَاِنْ كَانُوْا مِنْ قَبْلِ اَنْ يُّنَزَّلَ عَلَيْہِمْ مِّنْ قَبْلِہٖ لَمُبْلِسِيْنَ۝۴۹
Wain kanoo min qabli an yunazzala AAalayhim min qablihi lamubliseena

Although before it came down they were despondent.

49

فَانْظُرْ اِلٰۗى اٰثٰرِ رَحْمَتِ اللہِ كَيْفَ يُـحْىِ الْاَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِہَا۝۰ۭ اِنَّ ذٰلِكَ لَمُحْيِ الْمَوْتٰى۝۰ۚ وَہُوَعَلٰي كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيْرٌ۝۵۰
Faonthur ila athari rahmati Allahi kayfa yuhyee alarda baAAda mawtiha inna thalika lamuhyee almawta wahuwa AAala kulli shayin qadeerun

Ahmed Ali

So consider the signs of His benevolence: How He quickens the earth after it had become waste. He is verily the one who will raise the dead. He has power over everything.
