٥٨ - ٱلْمُجَادِلَة

58 - Al-Mujadila

اَلَمْ تَرَ اِلَى الَّذِيْنَ تَوَلَّوْا قَوْمًا غَضِبَ اللہُ عَلَيْہِمْ۝۰ۭ مَا ہُمْ مِّنْكُمْ وَلَا مِنْہُمْ۝۰ۙ وَيَحْلِفُوْنَ عَلَي الْكَذِبِ وَہُمْ يَعْلَمُوْنَ۝۱۴
Alam tara ila allatheena tawallaw qawman ghadiba Allahu AAalayhim ma hum minkum wala minhum wayahlifoona AAala alkathibi wahum yaAAlamoona

English

Ahmed Ali

Have you not seen those who have taken a people who have roused the wrath of God, as friends? They are neither of you nor of them, and swear to a lie, and knowingly.

14

اَعَدَّ اللہُ لَہُمْ عَذَابًا شَدِيْدًا۝۰ۭ اِنَّہُمْ سَاۗءَ مَا كَانُوْا يَعْمَلُوْنَ۝۱۵
aAAadda Allahu lahum AAathaban shadeedan innahum saa ma kanoo yaAAmaloona

English

Ahmed Ali

God has reserved a severe punishment for them. Evil indeed are the things they do!

15

اِتَّخَذُوْۗا اَيْمَانَہُمْ جُنَّۃً فَصَدُّوْا عَنْ سَبِيْلِ اللہِ فَلَہُمْ عَذَابٌ مُّہِيْنٌ۝۱۶
Ittakhathoo aymanahum junnatan fasaddoo AAan sabeeli Allahi falahum AAathabun muheenun

Ahmed Ali

They have made their oaths a shield, and obstruct people from the way of God. There is shameful punishment for them.

16

لَنْ تُغْنِيَ عَنْہُمْ اَمْوَالُہُمْ وَلَاۗ اَوْلَادُہُمْ مِّنَ اللہِ شَيْـــــًٔا۝۰ۭ اُولٰۗىِٕكَ اَصْحٰبُ النَّارِ۝۰ۭ ہُمْ فِيْہَا خٰلِدُوْنَ۝۱۷
Lan tughniya AAanhum amwaluhum wala awladuhum mina Allahi shayan olaika ashabu alnnari hum feeha khalidoona

Ahmed Ali

Neither their wealth nor children will avail them against God. They are the people of Hell, and there will abide for ever.

17

يَوْمَ يَبْعَثُہُمُ اللہُ جَمِيْعًا فَيَحْلِفُوْنَ لَہٗ كَـمَا يَحْلِفُوْنَ لَكُمْ وَيَحْسَبُوْنَ اَنَّہُمْ عَلٰي شَيْءٍ۝۰ۭ اَلَاۗ اِنَّہُمْ ہُمُ الْكٰذِبُوْنَ۝۱۸
Yawma yabAAathuhumu Allahu jameeAAan fayahlifoona lahu kama yahlifoona lakum wayahsaboona annahum AAala shayin ala innahum humu alkathiboona

Ahmed Ali

On the day that God will raise them together, they will swear before Him as they swear before you, and imagine they are on the right path. Is it not they who are liars?

18

اِسْتَحْوَذَ عَلَيْہِمُ الشَّيْطٰنُ فَاَنْسٰـىہُمْ ذِكْرَ اؘ۝۰ۭ اُولٰۗىِٕكَ حِزْبُ الشَّيْطٰنِ۝۰ۭ اَلَاۗ اِنَّ حِزْبَ الشَّيْطٰنِ ہُمُ الْخٰسِرُوْنَ۝۱۹
Istahwatha AAalayhimu alshshaytanu faansahum thikra Allahi olaika hizbu alshshaytani ala inna hizba alshshaytani humu alkhasiroona

Satan has got the better of them. and made them forget to remember God. Indeed they belong to Satan's faction. Will not Satan's faction perish?

19

اِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ يُحَاۗدُّوْنَ اللہَ وَرَسُوْلَہٗۗ اُولٰۗىِٕكَ فِي الْاَذَلِّيْنَ۝۲۰
Inna allatheena yuhaddoona Allaha warasoolahu olaika fee alathalleena

Surely those who oppose God and His Prophet will be among the vilest.

20

كَتَبَ اللہُ لَاَغْلِبَنَّ اَنَا وَرُسُلِيْ۝۰ۭ اِنَّ اللہَ قَوِيٌّ عَزِيْزٌ۝۲۱
Kataba Allahu laaghlibanna ana warusulee inna Allaha qawiyyun AAazeezun

English

Ahmed Ali

God has decreed: "I will prevail, I and My apostles." Verily God is powerful and all-mighty.

21

لَا تَجِدُ قَوْمًا يُّؤْمِنُوْنَ بِاللہِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْاٰخِرِ يُوَاۗدُّوْنَ مَنْ حَاۗدَّ اللہَ وَرَسُوْلَہٗ وَلَوْ كَانُوْۗا اٰبَاۗءَہُمْ اَوْ اَبْنَاۗءَہُمْ اَوْ اِخْوَانَہُمْ اَوْ عَشِيْرَتَہُمْ۝۰ۭ اُولٰۗىِٕكَ كَتَبَ فِيْ قُلُوْبِہِمُ الْاِيْمَانَ وَاَيَّدَہُمْ بِرُوْحٍ مِّنْہُ۝۰ۭ وَيُدْخِلُہُمْ جَنّٰتٍ تَجْرِيْ مِنْ تَحْتِہَا الْاَنْہٰرُ خٰلِدِيْنَ فِيْہَا۝۰ۭ رَضِيَ اللہُ عَنْہُمْ وَرَضُوْا عَنْہُ۝۰ۭ اُولٰۗىِٕكَ حِزْبُ اؘ۝۰ۭ اَلَاۗ اِنَّ حِزْبَ اللہِ ہُمُ الْمُفْلِحُوْنَ۝۲۲ۧ
La tajidu qawman yuminoona biAllahi waalyawmi alakhiri yuwaddoona man hadda Allaha warasoolahu walaw kanoo abaahum aw abnaahum aw ikhwanahum aw AAasheeratahum olaika kataba fee quloobihimu aleemana waayyadahum biroohin minhu wayudkhiluhum jannatin tajree min tahtiha alanharu khalideena feeha radiya Allahu AAanhum waradoo AAanhu olaika hizbu Allahi ala inna hizba Allahi humu almuflihoona

You will not find those who believe in God and the Day of Resurrection, loving those who oppose God and His Prophet, even though they be their fathers, sons, or brothers or their kin. God has inscribed on their hearts belief, and has succoured them with His own grace, and will admit them to gardens with rivers flowing by, where they will abide for ever, God accepting them, and they, happy in the pleasure of God. They are verily the army of God. Will not the army of God be victorious?
