3. Multi-Faith Room

The Multi-Faith Room was set up by the Student Council of the University of Brunswick so the students and faculty of the university can practice their religion in peace. It is located at the back side of Lady Beaverbroo's residence and is open to everyone, no matter what their religion is. The room is open from 6:30 am to 10:00 pm for everyone to visit and fulfill their religious obligations.

The University of New Brunswick has a great number of Muslim students as well as faculty members, and due to the increasing number, a prayer area was needed. This Multi-Faith room has been made for everyone to practice religion and serves as a worship place for Muslims.

Muslims offer five times Salah here. Most Muslims pray alone, but those who have gathered in the multi-faith room at the same time for a salah may group together to offer the salat in jamaat. The area is covered with carpet, and you can even bring food inside. On the other hand, coming inside with shoes is not permissible, and you have to take it off before entering the room.
