قَالَ الَّذِيْ عِنْدَہٗ عِلْمٌ مِّنَ الْكِتٰبِ اَنَا اٰتِيْكَ بِہٖ قَبْلَ اَنْ يَّرْتَدَّ اِلَيْكَ طَرْفُكَ۰ۭ فَلَمَّا رَاٰہُ مُسْتَقِرًّا عِنْدَہٗ قَالَ ھٰذَا مِنْ فَضْلِ رَبِّيْ۰ۣۖ لِيَبْلُوَنِيْۗ ءَاَشْكُرُ اَمْ اَكْفُرُ۰ۭ وَمَنْ شَكَرَ فَاِنَّمَا يَشْكُرُ لِنَفْسِہٖ۰ۚ وَمَنْ كَفَرَ فَاِنَّ رَبِّيْ غَنِيٌّ كَرِيْمٌ۴۰
Qala allathee AAindahu AAilmun mina alkitabi ana ateeka bihi qabla an yartadda ilayka tarfuka falamma raahu mustaqirran AAindahu qala hatha min fadli rabbee liyabluwanee aashkuru am akfuru waman shakara fainnama yashkuru linafsihi waman kafara fainna rabbee ghaniyyun kareemun
But one who had knowledge of the letter, said: "I will bring it to you in the twinkling of an eye." When Solomon saw it before him, (he said): "This is by the grace of my Lord that He may test me whether I am grateful or I am thankless. Yet if one is grateful, he is grateful for himself, and if one is thankless, then surely my Lord is unconcerned and magnanimous."
