٧٨ - ٱلنَّبَأ

78 - An-Naba'

اِنَّ لِلْمُتَّقِيْنَ مَفَازًا۝۳۱ۙ
Inna lilmuttaqeena mafazan

English

Ahmed Ali

As for those who preserve themselves from evil and follow the straight path, there is attainment for them:

31

حَدَاۗىِٕقَ وَاَعْنَابًا۝۳۲ۙ
Hadaiqa waaAAnaban

Ahmed Ali

Orchards and vineyards,

32

وَّكَوَاعِبَ اَتْرَابًا۝۳۳ۙ
WakawaAAiba atraban

Ahmed Ali

And graceful maidens of the same age,

33

وَّكَاْسًا دِہَاقًا۝۳۴ۭ
Wakasan dihaqan

English

Ahmed Ali

And flasks full and flowing.

34

لَا يَسْمَعُوْنَ فِيْہَا لَغْوًا وَّلَا كِذّٰبًا۝۳۵ۚ
La yasmaAAoona feeha laghwan wala kiththaban

Ahmed Ali

They will hear no blasphemies there or disavowals:

35

جَزَاۗءً مِّنْ رَّبِّكَ عَطَاۗءً حِسَابًا۝۳۶ۙ
Jazaan min rabbika AAataan hisaban

Ahmed Ali

A recompense from your Lord, a sufficient gift,

36

رَّبِّ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَہُمَا الرَّحْمٰنِ لَا يَمْلِكُوْنَ مِنْہُ خِطَابًا۝۳۷ۚ
Rabbi alssamawati waalardi wama baynahuma alrrahmani la yamlikoona minhu khitaban

Ahmed Ali

The Lord of the heavens and the earth, and all that lies between them, most benevolent, to whom none may dare address a word.

37

يَوْمَ يَقُوْمُ الرُّوْحُ وَالْمَلٰۗىِٕكَۃُ صَفًّا۝۰ۭۤۙ لَّا يَتَكَلَّمُوْنَ اِلَّا مَنْ اَذِنَ لَہُ الرَّحْمٰنُ وَقَالَ صَوَابًا۝۳۸
Yawma yaqoomu alrroohu waalmalaikatu saffan la yatakallamoona illa man athina lahu alrrahmanu waqala sawaban

English

Ahmed Ali

The day the Spirit takes its stand, with the angels ranged in rows. None will speak except who is permitted by Ar-Rahman and says what is right.

38

ذٰلِكَ الْيَوْمُ الْحَقُّ۝۰ۚ فَمَنْ شَاۗءَ اتَّخَذَ اِلٰى رَبِّہٖ مَاٰبًا۝۳۹
Thalika alyawmu alhaqqu faman shaa ittakhatha ila rabbihi maaban

Ahmed Ali

That day is certain. So whosoever likes may prepare a way to his Lord.

39

اِنَّاۗ اَنْذَرْنٰكُمْ عَذَابًا قَرِيْبًا۝۰ڂ يَّوْمَ يَنْظُرُ الْمَرْءُ مَا قَدَّمَتْ يَدٰہُ وَيَقُوْلُ الْكٰفِرُ يٰلَيْتَــنِيْ كُنْتُ تُرٰبًا۝۴۰ۧ
Inna antharnakum AAathaban qareeban yawma yanthuru almaro ma qaddamat yadahu wayaqoolu alkafiru ya laytanee kuntu turaban

We have indeed warned you of a calamity near at hand, a day when man will see what he had sent (of his deeds) ahead, and the unbeliever will say: "Woe alas. Ah would that I were dust!"
