4 - An-Nisa

يُرِيْدُ اللہُ لِيُـبَيِّنَ لَكُمْ وَيَہْدِيَكُمْ سُنَنَ الَّذِيْنَ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ وَيَتُوْبَ عَلَيْكُمْ۝۰ۭ وَاللہُ عَلِيْمٌ حَكِيْمٌ۝۲۶
Yureedu Allahu liyubayyina lakum wayahdiyakum sunana allatheena min qablikum wayatooba AAalaykum waAllahu AAaleemun hakeemun

English

Ahmed Ali

God wishes to make it clear to you and guide you through the example of earlier people, and to forgive you, for God is all-knowing and all-wise.

26

وَاللہُ يُرِيْدُ اَنْ يَّتُوْبَ عَلَيْكُمْ۝۰ۣ وَيُرِيْدُ الَّذِيْنَ يَتَّبِعُوْنَ الشَّہَوٰتِ اَنْ تَمِيْلُوْا مَيْلًا عَظِيْمًا۝۲۷
WaAllahu yureedu an yatooba AAalaykum wayureedu allatheena yattabiAAoona alshshahawati an tameeloo maylan AAatheeman

English

Ahmed Ali

God likes to turn to you, but those who are lost in the pleasures of the flesh wish to turn you astray, far away.

27

يُرِيْدُ اللہُ اَنْ يُخَفِّفَ عَنْكُمْ۝۰ۚ وَخُلِقَ الْاِنْسَانُ ضَعِيْفًا۝۲۸
Yureedu Allahu an yukhaffifa AAankum wakhuliqa alinsanu daAAeefan

God would like to lighten your burden, for man was created weak.

28

يٰۗاَيُّھَا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا لَا تَاْكُلُوْۗا اَمْوَالَكُمْ بَيْنَكُمْ بِالْبَاطِلِ اِلَّاۗ اَنْ تَكُوْنَ تِجَارَۃً عَنْ تَرَاضٍ مِّنْكُمْ۝۰ۣ وَلَا تَقْتُلُوْۗا اَنْفُسَكُمْ۝۰ۭ اِنَّ اللہَ كَانَ بِكُمْ رَحِيْمًا۝۲۹
Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo la takuloo amwalakum baynakum bialbatili illa an takoona tijaratan AAan taradin minkum wala taqtuloo anfusakum inna Allaha kana bikum raheeman

English

Ahmed Ali

O believers, you should not usurp unjustly the wealth of each other, but trade by mutual consent; and do not destroy yourselves. God is merciful to you.

29

وَمَنْ يَّفْعَلْ ذٰلِكَ عُدْوَانًا وَّظُلْمًا فَسَوْفَ نُصْلِيْہِ نَارًا۝۰ۭ وَكَانَ ذٰلِكَ عَلَي اللہِ يَسِيْرًا۝۳۰
Waman yafAAal thalika AAudwanan wathulman fasawfa nusleehi naran wakana thalika AAala Allahi yaseeran

Ahmed Ali

If someone does so through oppression or injustice, We shall cast him into Hell: This is how (the Law of) God works inevitably.

30

اِنْ تَجْتَنِبُوْا كَبَاۗىِٕرَ مَا تُنْہَوْنَ عَنْہُ نُكَفِّرْ عَنْكُمْ سَـيِّاٰتِكُمْ وَنُدْخِلْكُمْ مُّدْخَلًا كَرِيْمًا۝۳۱
In tajtaniboo kabaira ma tunhawna AAanhu nukaffir AAankum sayyiatikum wanudkhilkum mudkhalan kareeman

Ahmed Ali

If you keep away from the deadly sins that have been forbidden, We shall efface your faults, and lead you to a place of honour.

31

وَلَا تَتَمَنَّوْا مَا فَضَّلَ اللہُ بِہٖ بَعْضَكُمْ عَلٰي بَعْضٍ۝۰ۭ لِلرِّجَالِ نَصِيْبٌ مِّمَّا اكْتَـسَبُوْا۝۰ۭ وَلِلنِّسَاۗءِ نَصِيْبٌ مِّمَّا اكْتَـسَبْنَ۝۰ۭ وَسْـــَٔـلُوا اللہَ مِنْ فَضْلِہٖ۝۰ۭ اِنَّ اللہَ كَانَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِـــيْمًا۝۳۲
Wala tatamannaw ma faddala Allahu bihi baAAdakum AAala baAAdin lilrrijali naseebun mimma iktasaboo walilnnisai naseebun mimma iktasabna waisaloo Allaha min fadlihi inna Allaha kana bikulli shayin AAaleeman

Ahmed Ali

Do not covet what God has favoured some with more than He has some others. Men have a share in what they earn, and women have theirs in what they earn. Ask God for His favours. Surely God has knowledge of everything.

32

وَلِكُلٍّ جَعَلْنَا مَوَالِيَ مِمَّا تَرَكَ الْوَالِدٰنِ وَالْاَقْرَبُوْنَ۝۰ۭ وَالَّذِيْنَ عَقَدَتْ اَيْمَانُكُمْ فَاٰتُوْھُمْ نَصِيْبَھُمْ۝۰ۭ اِنَّ اللہَ كَانَ عَلٰي كُلِّ شَيْءٍ شَہِيْدًا۝۳۳ۧ
Walikullin jaAAalna mawaliya mimma taraka alwalidani waalaqraboona waallatheena AAaqadat aymanukum faatoohum naseebahum inna Allaha kana AAala kulli shayin shaheedan

For each We have appointed heirs to what parents and relatives leave behind. And to those you have given your pledge in marriage give their share, for God is witness to everything.

33
