٤ - ٱلنِّسَاء

4 - An-Nisa

اِنَّاۗ اَنْزَلْنَاۗ اِلَيْكَ الْكِتٰبَ بِالْحَقِّ لِتَحْكُمَ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ بِمَاۗ اَرٰىكَ اؙ۝۰ۭ وَلَا تَكُنْ لِّلْخَاۗىِٕنِيْنَ خَصِيْمًا۝۱۰۵ۙ
Inna anzalna ilayka alkitaba bialhaqqi litahkuma bayna alnnasi bima araka Allahu wala takun lilkhaineena khaseeman

English

Ahmed Ali

We have sent down to you the Book containing the truth, in whose light you should judge among the people as God has shown you, and do not be a contender for deceivers.

105

وَّاسْتَغْفِرِ اللہَ۝۰ۭ اِنَّ اللہَ كَانَ غَفُوْرًا رَّحِيْمًا۝۱۰۶ۚ
Waistaghfiri Allaha inna Allaha kana ghafooran raheeman

Ahmed Ali

And seek God's forgiveness, for God is surely forgiving and kind.

106

وَلَا تُجَادِلْ عَنِ الَّذِيْنَ يَخْتَانُوْنَ اَنْفُسَھُمْ۝۰ۭ اِنَّ اللہَ لَا يُحِبُّ مَنْ كَانَ خَوَّانًا اَثِــيْمًا۝۱۰۷ۚۙ
Wala tujadil AAani allatheena yakhtanoona anfusahum inna Allaha la yuhibbu man kana khawwanan atheeman

Ahmed Ali

Do not argue for those who harbour deceit in their hearts, for God does not love the treacherous and the iniquitous.

107

يَّسْتَخْفُوْنَ مِنَ النَّاسِ وَلَا يَسْتَخْفُوْنَ مِنَ اللہِ وَھُوَمَعَھُمْ اِذْ يُبَيِّتُوْنَ مَا لَا يَرْضٰى مِنَ الْقَوْلِ۝۰ۭ وَكَانَ اللہُ بِمَا يَعْمَلُوْنَ مُحِيْطًا۝۱۰۸
Yastakhfoona mina alnnasi wala yastakhfoona mina Allahi wahuwa maAAahum ith yubayyitoona ma la yarda mina alqawli wakana Allahu bima yaAAmaloona muheetan

Ahmed Ali

They try to hide from (men), but they cannot hide from God who is with them at night when they discuss such matters as He does not approve; but what they do is well within the compass of God.

108

ھٰۗاَنْتُمْ ہٰۗؤُلَاۗءِ جٰدَلْتُمْ عَنْھُمْ فِي الْحَيٰوۃِ الدُّنْيَا۝۰ۣ فَمَنْ يُّجَادِلُ اللہَ عَنْھُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيٰمَۃِ اَمْ مَّنْ يَّكُوْنُ عَلَيْہِمْ وَكِيْلًا۝۱۰۹
Haantum haolai jadaltum AAanhum fee alhayati alddunya faman yujadilu Allaha AAanhum yawma alqiyamati am man yakoonu AAalayhim wakeelan

Ahmed Ali

Well, you are those who pleaded for them in the life of this world; but who will plead for them on the Day of Resurrection or be their security?

109

وَ مَنْ يَّعْمَلْ سُوْۗءًا اَوْ يَظْلِمْ نَفْسَہٗ ثُمَّ يَسْتَغْفِرِ اللہَ يَجِدِ اللہَ غَفُوْرًا رَّحِيْمًا۝۱۱۰
Waman yaAAmal sooan aw yathlim nafsahu thumma yastaghfiri Allaha yajidi Allaha ghafooran raheeman

Ahmed Ali

He who does evil or acts against his own interests (by disbelieving), then prays for God's forgiveness, will find God compassionate and merciful.

110

وَمَنْ يَّكْسِبْ اِثْمًا فَاِنَّمَا يَكْسِـبُہٗ عَلٰي نَفْسِہٖ۝۰ۭ وَكَانَ اللہُ عَلِــيْمًا حَكِـيْمًا۝۱۱۱
Waman yaksib ithman fainnama yaksibuhu AAala nafsihi wakana Allahu AAaleeman hakeeman

Ahmed Ali

He who earns the wages of sin does so for himself; and God is aware of everything and is wise.

111

وَمَنْ يَّكْسِبْ خَطِيْۗــئَۃً اَوْ اِثْمًا ثُمَّ يَرْمِ بِہٖ بَرِيْۗــــــًٔـا فَقَدِ احْتَمَلَ بُہْتَانًا وَّاِثْمًا مُّبِيْنًا۝۱۱۲ۧ
Waman yaksib khateeatan aw ithman thumma yarmi bihi bareean faqadi ihtamala buhtanan waithman mubeenan

Ahmed Ali

He who commits a mistake or iniquity and ascribes it to one who is innocent, is guilty of calumny and brazen sin.

112
