٣ - آلِ عِمْرَان

3 - Al-Imran

لَتُبْلَوُنَّ فِيْۗ اَمْوَالِكُمْ وَاَنْفُسِكُمْ۝۰ۣ وَلَتَسْمَعُنَّ مِنَ الَّذِيْنَ اُوْتُوا الْكِتٰبَ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ وَمِنَ الَّذِيْنَ اَشْرَكُوْۗا اَذًى كَثِيْرًا۝۰ۭ وَاِنْ تَصْبِرُوْا وَتَتَّقُوْا فَاِنَّ ذٰلِكَ مِنْ عَزْمِ الْاُمُوْرِ۝۱۸۶
Latublawunna fee amwalikum waanfusikum walatasmaAAunna mina allatheena ootoo alkitaba min qablikum wamina allatheena ashrakoo athan katheeran wain tasbiroo watattaqoo fainna thalika min AAazmi alomoori

Ahmed Ali

You will, nonetheless, be tried with your wealth and life, and will hear many untoward things from the followers of former Books and the infidels. But if you endure with patience and follow the straight path, it will surely (accord) with God's fixed resolve about human affairs.

186

وَاِذْ اَخَذَ اللہُ مِيْثَاقَ الَّذِيْنَ اُوْتُوا الْكِتٰبَ لَتُبَيِّنُنَّہٗ لِلنَّاسِ وَلَا تَكْتُمُوْنَہٗ۝۰ۡفَنَبَذُوْہُ وَرَاۗءَ ظُہُوْرِھِمْ وَاشْتَرَوْا بِہٖ ثَمَنًا قَلِيْلًا۝۰ۭ فَبِئْسَ مَا يَشْتَرُوْنَ۝۱۸۷
Waith akhatha Allahu meethaqa allatheena ootoo alkitaba latubayyinunnahu lilnnasi wala taktumoonahu fanabathoohu waraa thuhoorihim waishtaraw bihi thamanan qaleelan fabisa ma yashtaroona

Ahmed Ali

And remember when God took a promise from the people of the Book to make its (truth) known to mankind, and not keep back any part of it, they set aside (the pledge), and sold it away for a little gain but how wretched the bargain that they made!

187

لَا تَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِيْنَ يَفْرَحُوْنَ بِمَاۗ اَتَوْا وَّيُحِبُّوْنَ اَنْ يُّحْمَدُوْا بِمَا لَمْ يَفْعَلُوْا فَلَا تَحْسَبَنَّھُمْ بِمَفَازَۃٍ مِّنَ الْعَذَابِ۝۰ۚ وَلَھُمْ عَذَابٌ اَلِيْمٌ۝۱۸۸
La tahsabanna allatheena yafrahoona bima ataw wayuhibboona an yuhmadoo bima lam yafAAaloo fala tahsabannahum bimafazatin mina alAAathabi walahum AAathabun aleemun

Ahmed Ali

Think not that those who exult at what they have done, and who love to be praised for what they have not done, shall escape the punishment, for grievous indeed will be their doom.

188

وَلِلہِ مُلْكُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِ۝۰ۭ وَاللہُ عَلٰي كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيْرٌ۝۱۸۹ۧ
Walillahi mulku alssamawati waalardi waAllahu AAala kulli shayin qadeerun

English

Ahmed Ali

For God's is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and God's is the power over all things.

189

اِنَّ فِيْ خَلْقِ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِ وَاخْتِلَافِ الَّيْلِ وَالنَّھَارِ لَاٰيٰتٍ لِّاُولِي الْاَلْبَابِ۝۱۹۰ۚۙ
Inna fee khalqi alssamawati waalardi waikhtilafi allayli waalnnahari laayatin liolee alalbabi

English

Ahmed Ali

In the creation of the heavens and the earth, the alternation of night and day, are signs for the wise.

190

الَّذِيْنَ يَذْكُرُوْنَ اللہَ قِيٰمًا وَّقُعُوْدًا وَّعَلٰي جُنُوْبِھِمْ وَيَتَفَكَّرُوْنَ فِيْ خَلْقِ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِ۝۰ۚ رَبَّنَا مَا خَلَقْتَ ہٰذَا بَاطِلًا۝۰ۚ سُبْحٰنَكَ فَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ۝۱۹۱
Allatheena yathkuroona Allaha qiyaman waquAAoodan waAAala junoobihim wayatafakkaroona fee khalqi alssamawati waalardi rabbana ma khalaqta hatha batilan subhanaka faqina AAathaba alnnari

Ahmed Ali

Those who honour God in meditation, standing or sitting or lying on their sides, who reflect and contemplate on the creation of the heavens and the earth, (and say) "Not in vain have You made them. All praise be to You, O Lord, preserve us from the torment of Hell.

191

رَبَّنَاۗ اِنَّكَ مَنْ تُدْخِلِ النَّارَ فَقَدْ اَخْزَيْتَہٗ۝۰ۭ وَمَا لِلظّٰلِمِيْنَ مِنْ اَنْصَارٍ۝۱۹۲
Rabbana innaka man tudkhili alnnara faqad akhzaytahu wama lilththalimeena min ansarin

English

Ahmed Ali

Whoever, O Lord, should be cast into Hell shall be verily disgraced; and the sinners shall have none to help (or save) them.

192

رَبَّنَاۗ اِنَّنَا سَمِعْنَا مُنَادِيًا يُّنَادِيْ لِلْاِيْمَانِ اَنْ اٰمِنُوْا بِرَبِّكُمْ فَاٰمَنَّا۝۰ۤۖ رَبَّنَا فَاغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوْبَنَا وَكَفِّرْ عَنَّا سَيِّاٰتِنَا وَتَوَفَّنَا مَعَ الْاَبْرَارِ۝۱۹۳ۚ
Rabbana innana samiAAna munadiyan yunadee lileemani an aminoo birabbikum faamanna rabbana faighfir lana thunoobana wakaffir AAanna sayyiatina watawaffana maAAa alabrari

English

Ahmed Ali

We have heard, O our Lord, the crier call inviting us to faith (and announcing): 'Believe in your Lord.' O our Lord, to faith we have come, so forgive our trespasses, deliver us from sin, and grant us (the glory of) death with the just.

193

رَبَّنَا وَاٰتِنَا مَا وَعَدْتَّنَا عَلٰي رُسُلِكَ وَلَا تُخْزِنَا يَوْمَ الْقِيٰمَۃِ۝۰ۭ اِنَّكَ لَا تُخْلِفُ الْمِيْعَادَ۝۱۹۴
Rabbana waatina ma waAAadtana AAala rusulika wala tukhzina yawma alqiyamati innaka la tukhlifu almeeAAada

English

Ahmed Ali

Give us what You promised, O Lord, through Your prophets; and put us not to shame on the Day of Reckoning, for never do You go back on Your promise."

194

فَاسْتَجَابَ لَھُمْ رَبُّھُمْ اَنِّىْ لَاۗ اُضِيْعُ عَمَلَ عَامِلٍ مِّنْكُمْ مِّنْ ذَكَرٍ اَوْ اُنْثٰى۝۰ۚ بَعْضُكُمْ مِّنْۢ بَعْضٍ۝۰ۚ فَالَّذِيْنَ ھَاجَرُوْا وَاُخْرِجُوْا مِنْ دِيَارِھِمْ وَاُوْذُوْا فِيْ سَبِيْلِيْ وَقٰتَلُوْا وَقُتِلُوْا لَاُكَفِّرَنَّ عَنْھُمْ سَيِّاٰتِھِمْ وَلَاُدْخِلَنَّھُمْ جَنّٰتٍ تَجْرِيْ مِنْ تَحْتِھَا الْاَنْھٰرُ۝۰ۚ ثَوَابًا مِّنْ عِنْدِ اؘ۝۰ۭ وَاللہُ عِنْدَہٗ حُسْنُ الثَّوَابِ۝۱۹۵
Faistajaba lahum rabbuhum annee la odeeAAu AAamala AAamilin minkum min thakarin aw ontha baAAdukum min baAAdin faallatheena hajaroo waokhrijoo min diyarihim waoothoo fee sabeelee waqataloo waqutiloo laokaffiranna AAanhum sayyiatihim walaodkhilannahum jannatin tajree min tahtiha alanharu thawaban min AAindi Allahi waAllahu AAindahu husnu alththawabi

Ahmed Ali

The Lord heard their prayer and answered: "I suffer not the good deeds of any to go waste, be he a man or a woman: The one of you is of the other. And those who were deprived of their homes or banished in My cause, and who fought and were killed, I shall blot out their sins and admit them indeed into gardens with rippling streams." -- A recompense from God, and the best of rewards is with God.

195
