٢٧ - ٱلنَّمْل

27 - An-Naml

وَ يَوْمَ نَحْشُرُ مِنْ كُلِّ اُمَّۃٍ فَوْجًا مِّمَّنْ يُّكَذِّبُ بِاٰيٰتِنَا فَہُمْ يُوْزَعُوْنَ۝۸۳
Wayawma nahshuru min kulli ommatin fawjan mimman yukaththibu biayatina fahum yoozaAAoona

English

Ahmed Ali

The day We shall gather from every community a section of those who denied Our signs, and they will be brought (in separate groups),

83

حَتّٰۗي اِذَا جَاۗءُوْ قَالَ اَكَذَّبْتُمْ بِاٰيٰتِيْ وَلَمْ تُحِيْطُوْا بِہَا عِلْمًا اَمَّا ذَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُوْنَ۝۸۴
Hatta itha jaoo qala akaththabtum biayatee walam tuheetoo biha AAilman ammatha kuntum taAAmaloona

English

Ahmed Ali

So that when they come (before the Lord) He will say: "Did you deny My signs without having understood them? Or what was it that you were doing?"

84

وَوَقَعَ الْقَوْلُ عَلَيْہِمْ بِمَا ظَلَمُوْا فَہُمْ لَا يَنْطِقُوْنَ۝۸۵
WawaqaAAa alqawlu AAalayhim bima thalamoo fahum la yantiqoona

English

Ahmed Ali

When the sentence will have been passed upon them for their wickedness, they will not be able to say a word.

85

اَلَمْ يَرَوْا اَنَّا جَعَلْنَا الَّيْلَ لِيَسْكُنُوْا فِيْہِ وَالنَّہَارَ مُبْصِرًا۝۰ۭ اِنَّ فِيْ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيٰتٍ لِّـقَوْمٍ يُّؤْمِنُوْنَ۝۸۶
Alam yaraw anna jaAAalna allayla liyaskunoo feehi waalnnahara mubsiran inna fee thalika laayatin liqawmin yuminoona

Ahmed Ali

Do they not see that We made the night for them to rest, the day to make things clear? Indeed there are signs in this for people who believe.

86

وَيَوْمَ يُنْفَخُ فِي الصُّوْرِ فَفَزِعَ مَنْ فِي السَّمٰوٰتِ وَمَنْ فِي الْاَرْضِ اِلَّا مَنْ شَاۗءَ اؙ۝۰ۭ وَكُلٌّ اَتَوْہُ دٰخِرِيْنَ۝۸۷
Wayawma yunfakhu fee alssoori fafaziAAa man fee alssamawati waman fee alardi illa man shaa Allahu wakullun atawhu dakhireena

Ahmed Ali

The day the trumpet blast is sounded whoever is in the heavens and the earth will be terrified, save those whom God please, and all will appear before Him in abjectness.

87

وَتَرَى الْجِبَالَ تَحْسَبُہَا جَامِدَۃً وَّہِىَ تَمُرُّ مَرَّ السَّحَابِ۝۰ۭ صُنْعَ اللہِ الَّذِيْۗ اَتْقَنَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ۝۰ۭ اِنَّہٗ خَبِيْرٌۢ بِمَا تَفْعَلُوْنَ۝۸۸
Watara aljibala tahsabuha jamidatan wahiya tamurru marra alssahabi sunAAa Allahi allathee atqana kulla shayin innahu khabeerun bima tafAAaloona

English

Ahmed Ali

You will see the mountains and think they are firmly planted, but they will pass away like flying clouds: Artistry of God who perfected everything. He is indeed fully aware of what you do.

88

مَنْ جَاۗءَ بِالْحَسَنَۃِ فَلَہٗ خَيْرٌ مِّنْہَا۝۰ۚ وَہُمْ مِّنْ فَزَعٍ يَّوْمَىِٕذٍ اٰمِنُوْنَ۝۸۹
Man jaa bialhasanati falahu khayrun minha wahum min fazaAAin yawmaithin aminoona

English

Ahmed Ali

Whoever comes with good (deeds) will receive better than (what he had done), and be safe that day from terror.

89

وَمَنْ جَاۗءَ بِالسَّيِّئَۃِ فَكُبَّتْ وُجُوْہُہُمْ فِي النَّارِ۝۰ۭ ہَلْ تُجْزَوْنَ اِلَّا مَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُوْنَ۝۹۰
Waman jaa bialssayyiati fakubbat wujoohuhum fee alnnari hal tujzawna illa ma kuntum taAAmaloona

English

Ahmed Ali

But whosoever comes with evil will be flung face forward into the Fire. Can you expect reward for any thing but what you do?

90

اِنَّمَاۗ اُمِرْتُ اَنْ اَعْبُدَ رَبَّ ہٰذِہِ الْبَلْدَۃِ الَّذِيْ حَرَّمَہَا وَلَہٗ كُلُّ شَيْءٍ۝۰ۡوَّاُمِرْتُ اَنْ اَكُوْنَ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِيْنَ۝۹۱ۙ
Innama omirtu an aAAbuda rabba hathihi albaldati allathee harramaha walahu kullu shayin waomirtu an akoona mina almuslimeena

Ahmed Ali

(Say): "I am commanded to worship the Lord of this land He has blessed, to whom all things belong; and I am commanded to be one of those who submit,

91

وَاَنْ اَتْلُوَا الْقُرْاٰنَ۝۰ۚ فَمَنِ اہْتَدٰى فَاِنَّمَا يَہْتَدِيْ لِنَفْسِہٖ۝۰ۚ وَمَنْ ضَلَّ فَقُلْ اِنَّمَاۗ اَنَا مِنَ الْمُنْذِرِيْنَ۝۹۲
Waan atluwa alqurana famani ihtada fainnama yahtadee linafsihi waman dalla faqul innama ana mina almunthireena

Ahmed Ali

And to recite the Qur'an." Whoever comes to guidance does so for himself; as for him who stays astray, tell him: "I am only a warner."
