Located by the highway (i95), Baymeadows Islamic Center is a community mosque accessible to travelers and commuters. Established in the past decade, BIC emerged as a much-needed worshiping space for Muslims in the Baymeadows area of Jacksonville. With the nearest mosque located farther than 10 miles (by car), Baymeadows needed its mosque for those working or the residents of the area.
The mosque is a small, humble building converted into a mosque. The Imam is known for his kind and amiable manners. ICOP, short for Islamic Center of Orange Park, has two locations in the city of Jacksonville. One is located at College Drive, and the other is a developing project on Collins Rd. Near Lakeside.
