Markazi Sunni Rizvi Jamia Masjid is a mosque located in downtown Jersey City that is dedicated to serving the Muslim community of Jersey and anybody interested in the teachings of Islam. The mosque also has an educational branch known as Muhadith-e-Azam Academy. The academy provides Quran classes for students at all levels throughout the year. Al Tawheed Islamic Center, located at 984 West Side Avenue, is another excellent Islamic center that also serves as a mosque. Established in 1995, the center accommodates 900 people during weekly Friday prayers and also has parking conveniently located across the street. The center is regularly visited by Muslim scholars from all over the world and is dedicated to providing its members and visitors with authentic Islamic knowledge. Located at 3424 Kennedy Blvd, Jersey City, Alhoda Islamic Center was established in 1999. The center is a two-story building with a convenient parking facility and comes with a separate prayer and wudhu area for men and women. Masjid As-Salam was established in the 80s as the first-ever mosque to open in the Journal Square Area. The mosque was registered in 1977 and has been proudly serving the Muslim community of Jersey since. The organization is a non-profit, religious, public charity, and community service. Other than prayer services, the mosque also offers a weekend school for both boys and girls from ages six to twelve, along with Taekwondo classes. MCNJ, located in Fords, NJ, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established in 1992 to provide educational, social, and spiritual environments to Muslims with a special focus on the Muslim youth to prepare them for Islamic education and maintain a commitment towards Islamic ideologies. The mosque offers a variety of services for Muslims in its community.
