During prayer times in Irvine, Muslims from all over the city gather in mosques to offer the five daily prayers. Given the significant Muslim population in California, there are approximately 300 widely-recognized mosques to help Californian Muslims remain connected to their faith. Mosques are a place of worship for believers, and the primary purpose behind their existence is to provide Muslims with a peaceful place to connect with Allah (SWT).
Mosques in non-Islamic countries often serve as places for social gatherings and community building among Muslims. Muslims visit these mosques to offer their prayers, meet fellow believers, learn and educate others about the faith and celebrate Eid and Ramadan. The mosques in Irvine stand as a symbol of the growing Muslim population in the West and provide a place for spiritual connection and social support.
