Popular Mosques in Miami

Salah is one of the five pillars of Islam and one of the first things Muslims will be questioned about after death. As Muslims, it is of utmost importance that we pray on time, and the best way to ensure discipline is by praying in a mosque. Following in the footsteps of our beloved Prophet, we must strive to be steadfast in all our prayers. Praying in a congregation in a mosque, surrounded by fellow Muslim brothers or sisters, also helps one form a better connection with the local Muslim community. Since Florida has a Muslim population of about 7 million, there are plenty of mosques in the state. Despite that, finding a mosque in Miami can be hard at times, especially if you are a visitor and it is your first time here. We have a list of the finest mosques in the city, along with the prayer times in Miami listed below.

1. Islamic Center of Greater Miami

The Islamic Center, founded in 1971, is a mosque and a charitable organization. It is registered in Florida as a not-for-profit organization. The Center is a place for complete devotion to the cause of Allah. The administration aims to play a role in the betterment of the Muslim communities in Florida. It is a religious, educational, and non-political place of worship where thousands of Muslims come to bow down before the Almighty daily.

The Center and its administration strive hard to reach out to and facilitate every individual in the Muslim community. They dedicate their time and resources to educating their fellow Muslims about the religion to strengthen their relationship with Allah. Another one of their mission is to preserve the Islamic identity while nurturing a lot more than just Islamic teachings. They also focus on building the character and moral behavior of the Muslims in our community. They strive to do this according to the commands and Sunnah of our Prophet (PBUH) and the Quran.

The Islamic Center of Greater Miami offers a Sunday Islamic School for dedicated individuals who strive hard to learn more about Islam. Alongside that, they offer Hafiz Quran Classes for anyone who wants to walk down that beautiful path. The center also provides Nikah (Islamic marriage) officiant services, relief programs, funerals, and free medical check-up services. They also have a women and children center for learning. You can read more about their services on their website.
